Dr. Winrow’s pursuit of the ministry began shortly after his baptism at the age of nine. His preparation includes being a “boy preacher” under the mentorship of Marshall Keeble, as a student of the Nashville Christian Institute (N.C.I.), and graduate of  Southwestern Christian College (SwCC). He received academic scholarships to attend Pepperdine University where he completed an undergraduate degree (B.A.) in biblical studies and a Master’s of Science degree (M.S.) in ministry.

Dr. Winrow was awarded the James Irvine Fellowship to attend the University of Southern California where he earned a Master’s of Arts degree and a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Religion and Social Ethics. While attending USC and upon completing his Doctorate, Dr. Winrow was employed by Pepperdine University as a full-time Professor of Biblical and Social Ethics.

Dr. Winrow married Margaret (Bass) of Brownsville, TN in 1976. They are the proud parents of four children.
